Approach

“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”
– Rumi

Working Together

Welcome! I’m Rachel, an Ayurvedic Health Counselor, yoga teacher, and reiki & subtle body energy practitioner. My approach combines these disciplines with flexibility, creativity, and care, tailoring each experience to support you uniquely. Whether you’re looking for guidance in Ayurveda, energy healing, or yoga, we’ll start right where you are.

In our time together, we’ll work with your personal tendencies, beliefs, strengths, and goals to support your body, mind, and spirit in aligning with your true self. I focus on finding practices and tools that feel natural and meaningful to you.

If you’re interested in exploring this journey together, I’d love to hear more about you and what brings you here. Please feel free to reach out with a bit about yourself and your intentions. From there, we can set up a brief introductory call and see how I can best support you.

Core Beliefs

We Are a Part of Nature

We are each made up of the same elements that make up all of nature, and we are connected by forces more intelligent and beautiful than we can imagine. As we grow to understand ourselves, we grow to understand nature—we are a microcosm of all that exists around us. The journey to awakening our inner light is a journey of understanding, exploring, and deepening this connection. As within, so without. As above, so below.

Our Power Grows in Surrender

We are in co-creation with life, but ultimately our power comes in surrender to greater forces, to the role we’ve come to play, to the majestic dance. We don’t heal from a place of seeking to control, deprive, or punish, but when we come to the table with humility, earnestness, and curiosity for what lessons lay before us. Our wounds are inherent to the human experience—no one escapes pain and suffering. In fact, our suffering is a portal into growth and often helps illuminate our purpose. We make the way for healing when we embrace this truth and surrender to the unfolding story of our life.

Matter Follows Consciousness

The soul speaks through the language of the body and emotions like poetry. Our work together will seek to integrate the different levels of your being so you can gain clarity and insight into the underlying patterns and meaning beneath your symptoms and experiences. As you gain courage to look into the unseen aspects of yourself and your life, as you make space to feel unprocessed emotions, as you change the core beliefs that are misaligned with your truth, you will find more joy, peace, and flow. Your body and your heart already know the way—energy knows how to flow. The core work of healing is not about acquiring something you do not have, but about shedding that which is not you and remembering what already is.

We Move In Cycles

We mirror all of nature which means we are beings that are designed to move in cycles. Change can be difficult, but it is also natural. We are works in progress. Embracing the pace of what can be understood and integrated will bring more beauty and enjoyment to the transformation process. Working within our window of tolerance—allowing the system to come back to homeostasis as we make changes—is what paves the way for deep, lasting change. Winter will always come, as will the first leaves of spring.

We Are Not Alone

Paradox lies at the heart of all deep truths. To heal and to know ourselves, we must be able to walk alone at times. We must be able to see and listen to ourselves in spite of the noise of the world. Yet we do not have to heal, grieve or suffer without support and guidance. Transformation is deep, sacrificial work and we do best when we have people to hold up a mirror, to hold our hands, to provide tools, and to witness us. The more we are able to stand in courageous embodiment of our individual nature, the deeper our capacity for love grows.

Our Hearts Hold the Truth

Life is always speaking to you, seeking to show you the way towards alignment and harmony. Healing and growth come when we learn how to listen to our inner knowing, when we open up the channels of communication to our hearts. You are and will always be your own best healer. As we get better at listening we grow deeper understanding of our bodies and of nature. As we reconnect to our innate magic, we reawaken to the beauty of life. Find and explore the languages that best resonate with you—they will always be the ones that help you grow the courage to choose love over fear.

It Is Our Responsibility to Heal

In honor of those who came before us, in service of those who come after, and in celebration of our beautiful existence, it is our individual and collective responsibility to heal. To come back to wholeness so that we may balance the karmas of the past, so that we may occupy our natural place in the world, and so we may experience the joy, love and harmony that is our birthright. May we be grounded in our bodies, peaceful in our minds, and loving in our actions.

“There was something about my experience with Rachel that felt…magical. I don’t have much experience with healing outside of a doctor’s office, but Rachel wove together different elements — mindfulness, stretching, sound baths, reiki, guided meditation – in such an organic, powerful way that even a newbie like me felt comfortable. Her work brought obvious and long-sought after truths to the surface for me. I didn’t realize it at first, but in the hours and days afterwards I have been able to express things I had trouble with and see things that had long been fuzzy. If you’re looking for someone who uses their study, training, and intention to create an impactful experience – Rachel is the person to see.”
